Faith That Feeds

Justin had been making disciples in Tanzania for over five years. His heart burned with one vision: to see his neighbors come to know Christ. But the journey had been hard.

Ministry support came inconsistently. Raising funds to feed his family while doing Gospel work became a source of ongoing pressure. And though his passion never wavered, the path ahead often felt uncertain.

Then, in 2023, Biglife leaders—Josiah, Leo, and Rawlings—gathered 20 African leaders for training on how to create sustainable disciple-making movements. Justin attended, not knowing his entire perspective was about to shift.

At the training, leaders shared their needs—and others responded. Ideas sparked. Solutions emerged. Farming tips, small business plans, shared wisdom. It reminded Justin of Acts 2, when the early believers “had all things in common.”

Justin looked at what was in his hands. With a bit of savings and help from friends, he purchased chickens and cattle. He used his home as a base and started selling eggs, milk, and chicken in his community.

Soon he saved enough to open a clothing shop in the city for his sister—a fellow disciple—to run. Two income streams. One mission.

Justin expanded his farm and began supporting disciples in his network. What had once drained him now empowered him.

His vision? To engage his whole island with the Gospel and to empower local believers to do the same—spiritually and practically. He’s now equipping others with livestock, farming tools, and training so they too can sustain their families and ministries. It’s not just ministry. It’s multiplication.
