Edwing lives in Maicao, Colombia. He grew up in a Christian home and always wanted to be a pastor. At 20, he began pastoring his first church, eager to see the Gospel spread. His denomination sent him to plant churches across Colombia, and while the work was steady, something was missing: multiplication.
Over time, he realized that while his denomination was strong in structure, it often focused more on control than on movement. Discontent grew in his heart.
He began to search for a solution and discovered Disciple-Making Movements. Intrigued, he signed up for training and left his traditional church model. He began gathering people in his home while working as a philosophy teacher—yet no movement emerged.
So, he searched again.

This time, Edwing connected with Biglife. He soon discovered that Biglife’s team had also been praying for disciple-makers in Colombia. The connection was an obvious answer to prayers for both Edwing and the Biglife team.
After three months of relationship building and online training, Biglife leaders traveled to Colombia. Thirty disciples were eagerly waiting. For two days they trained and practiced what it means to make disciples and meet at home in a simple way.
From that moment, things began to shift.
New believers came to faith. Baptisms were held. Ten new house churches formed in Maicao and rural villages among the Wayuu people. In 2025, God opened even more doors, and now the team is reaching new Wayuu communities across northern Colombia. A true movement is taking root.
Edwing’s journey has been marked by faithfulness, and God has guided every step.
